Run Club

Are you a new runner looking for education and support to get you through your first race? Are you at the beginning of your love affair with running and what to learn more about proper technique and training tools? Are you an avid runner who is looking to run with or without your kids and meet other moms? If either of these sound like you, our Fit4Mom Run Club is where you should be!

What do you get when you train with Fit4Mom Bartlett-Barrington?

•Bi-Weekly Training Runs at Mallard Lake in Bloomingdale or the paths behind the Bartlett Park District

•At-home training plans to get you ready for a 5K/10K. These training programs are appropriate for beginner and intermediate runners. This is support and additional training is provided in the Run Club private FB page.

•Strollers are welcome at the training runs or come run alone for some me time.

•Support, camaraderie and accountability from your certified FIT4MOM run coach and fellow moms.

Summer Run Club Pass - $160

*18 group runs led by a certified run coach. First run is June 13.

*Access to private FB page for accountability checks, run tips, and support from other Run Club moms

* One Family Fun Run a month

*Prepared and ready to run a 5K or 10K this summer **Participation in a race is not required

Why I Joined Run Club - Stephanie Z.

I joined the Fit4Mom Bartlett-Barrington Run Club looking for accountability and direction. I haven't run consistently since high school. Every time I tried to start back up, I added too many miles too quickly. I would injure myself and have to stop. Fit4Mom's Run Club coach, Megan, has really helped me. She is a fantastic coach. She provides a set schedule that gradually adds miles so we don't burn ourselves out. We have group runs twice a week and train on our own between group runs.

For me, running is an individualized sport and it seemed silly at first to join a club to run with other people because I like my solitude. What I didn't do was hold myself accountable and that's what Fit4Mom's Run Club does for me. I actually find myself looking forward to our group runs! Everyone goes at their own pace and cheers each other's victories. This has been an incredibly positive experience. I completed my first 5K recently and I'm working on completing a 10K. I look forward to crossing many finish lines with Fit4Mom's Run Club in the future.
